What a Big Week

WARNING: THIS WILL ONLY BE INTERESTING IF YOU CARE!! (FAMILY, CLOSE FRIENDS... POSSIBLY EVEN ONLY ME)

Leah can now sit up all by herself (as stated in the side bar)

She is also (as stated in the side bar), starting to crawl.

I thought that this was pretty cool too, Seth is doing puzzles. I don't know if it's normal or not, and I hope that I don't end up being one of those parents that gets super excited about something that their kid should be doing (like a seven year old that can count to 20). However, I videoed (no idea how to spell that) it this morning.

(looks like I'll have to post it later)

Rainy Day at the Zoo!

Saturday, we all went to the zoo with Nana, Papa, Hannah and Aunt Tami! We had so much fun... especially Leah!

While Aunt Tami fed Hannah, Seth and I enjoyed the many large puddles. We had to wait a long time, but he had tons of fun. He actually ended up quite far away by the time Nathan got to him.

After the zoo, we ate at CiCi's Pizza, and Hannah and Leah finally started to take interest in each other. I felt like it was a little vacation. It's the simple things in life!

and we're 4 for 4...

yes, it's official. for the first time ever, a sickness has run through our entire family.

Dear Ole Dad

Another one bites the dust. As I sat in bed watching "Super Why" with Seth and Leah, to my surprise I heard Nathan talking to someone. He should have left a long time ago! However, there is no question as to why I hear him. I got out of bed, walked to the Wii room and there he was in Papa's chair. Please, Please, Please pray that Leah does not get the stomach bug after her Daddy! He seems to be feeling better than I did when I had it (and I know that I'm not a weeny, b/c I gave birth to 2 children with no drugs), so that's encouraging. Hopefully, he will be easier than Seth at getting to an appropriate container!

Surefire Proof That You're a Mom:

After your son has left the room, you watch for 10 more minutes to find out just what is making Clifford so itchy.

You have actually referred to yourself as "Mommy" to someone that was not your child and was an adult.

At least once in your life, you have gone to the restroom while holding 2 children.

You find it enjoyable to play Mario Party 8 with a child that is not yet 2.

You have learned to type with 2 children in you lap.

You've gone more than 2 days without showering... and it's not an adventure.

You now know the lyrics and tune to most nursery rhyme songs.

Do you know the tune and rhythm to the new alphabet song as sung by Alpha Pig??

More often then not, while sitting in church, you find yourself rocking your baby... but your babies in the nursery.

SETH PATRICK

My baby boy is 22 months old today! I can't believe he's almost 2; all of you moms know what I'm talking about. He's had an icky day so far. 2 nights ago he somehow cut up his eye (we don't know how b/c Nathan was in the other room while I made dinner downstairs). It looks terrible! Then yesterday, he started to get the stomach bug that I had. He threw up and was awake a lot of the night. Despite that though, he'll still jump, dance, wrestle, play Wii... I cannot say I handled it as well. So, here's to my little trooper!! I love him!

Leah Noelle

My baby girl is 5 months old today!! Time is flying and she is getting so big. She loves Seth so much; it is way too cute. She also started crawling today. She doesn't do it full out yet, but she pushes herself forward with her feet... especially when there is a Wii Remote involved! Yes! She goes bonkers for remote controls and cell phones. But please, don't send us your old damaged ones we have enough useless cell phones and remotes from when Seth went through this phase.

Making Dr. Dixon Proud...

Nathan and I finally got out to do some yardwork and boy were we behind. This was the most unbelievably huge dandelion I had ever seen! The thing almost ate my children. From the size of it, I guess you can all see that I have quite the green thumb. I tried to chop away the top portion to help Nate get at the roots.

This is the top portion.

This is what was left.

Seth made me take his picture too!
