Our friends and former neighbors, Chrissa, Brayden and Cara had this Buzz costume. It's from Build-A-Bear and fits Brayden's monkey. Everyone insisted that Kyle wear this costume! Too bad it's not closer to Halloween!

My boy goes to town on a good apple!!!
He is so strong and so aggressive. When he sees me holding an apple, he grabs my hand and dives right in!

He thinks that they're hilarious! The other day, Leah tripped and fell and he just laughed and laughed.

mother's day

I finally had a GREAT Mother's Day. I was sick, stuck in an airport, praying for my grandma or told I wasn't REALLY a Mom yet! (For real.) Nathan took the day off (which I didn't know until I was getting in the car and he came up in a tie and not his FedEx gear). So, I didn't have to pull off Sunday morning church going events alone!! I'm not complaining, but that is such a hard and lonely time of the week.

This is the full experience of my attempt at a Mother's Day photo shoot:

She didn't start crying until we got out there...

...at least she stopped crying...

...Mommy messed up here. I was too focused on getting them to all look at me and cut Leah's head out of the shot....

Oh well, it was worth a shot. Hmmm... Which one should I frame!?!

naptime rules

That's as in rules for naptime. Don't you think it's hilarious when you hear yourself in them?? At least I know they're listening.

They have recently begun to share a room. Seth sleeps on the top bunk and Leah on the bottom, so bedtime and naptime rules are recited everyday, two times a day. I was trying to get Leah's take on our new pool, but this is what I got.

"No talking, no getting up!" Did you see that look she shot me right there at the end. One night at dinner, during a Leah lecture, Nathan looked at me and said, "You do realize those are your eyes looking right back at you!?"

Didn't you just love the waggle fingers? Since this video, keep your head on your pillow has been added to our list of rules.

summer time, summer time...

...sum, sum, summer time!

Well, technically only spring-time, but in Memphis it's hot enough to get a pool!!

As you can see, we were very excited to get our new blue swimming pool at Wal-mart, outside.

Just to clear up any questions, Seth does not ALWAYS talk with quite so many arm motions. Usually he only uses so much enthusiasm when he can see his reflection in the door behind me.

Yeah, that's right. His first trip, we forgot the camera. Oh the traumas of being a third born. But here he is, 3 months old, on his second trip to the zoo!!
